Our Story
A Dream for Thomas started because of a homeless man named Thomas.
Shayla , (Our Founder/ CEO ) was a waitress at Huddle House in 2007. During her time there, Thomas came in but was immediately kicked out because of his apperance and hygiene. Our CEO immediately went behind him and told him what shift she worked and that she would help him.
Everyday Thomas came in and order a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwhich and a Dr, Pepper. There were some days where he would just want water because of how hot it was outside. Shayla would use her tips to make sure he ate, had plenty to drink. She would also bring him clothes; although he had several to choose from that she brought him, he would never take that particular shirt off.
Unfortunately, Shayla had to leave Thomas but she never forgot him.
While doing research and learning how to birth and build A Dream for Thomas she donated to different shelters and feeding the homeless.
Our Accomplishments
March 2024, A Dream for Thomas became registered as a non profit homeless charity assisting in helping the homeless and recceived their 501(c) (3) as well.
